Instead of a thermostat, a standby module with a USB port is added to the system. The minibar goes into standby mode regularly by turning itself off between 24:00 - 08:00 at night and between 12:00 - 16:00 at daytime.
Thanks to this new system, by which operating intervals and cooling degrees can be readjusted, complete cleaning and hygiene are ensured as the minibar constantly defrosts and prevents ice formation.
Enterprises can operate minibar with RTC (Real Time Clock) system in different modes based on the season and other seasonal criteria. In these settings, which are defined as 'Cellar Mode' and 'Fresh Mode', the minibar can be operated in the ranges of +2 / +8 or +4 / +14 respectively, or new values can be entered for other cooling ranges.
As this system does not have a thermostat switch, the guests cannot intervene directly in the minibar; therefore, complete cooling is achieved according to cooling performance measurements. The minibar with RTC system is in A++ and A+++ energy class depending on its features. It cools 2 times more than absorption system minibar and consumes 6 times less electricity. For this reason, the RTC System Minibar will be the right choice for the companies that want to receive the Environmentally Friendly Facility (Green Star) certificate.
